ROST Ethiopia Homa is ROST Coffee Roastery's light-roasted single-origin organic coffee from Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. This Organic and Fair Trade certified coffee particularly shines in a drip coffee maker and a Hario V60. Its floral, jasmine aroma and complex flavor make it an excellent choice for those who enjoy light-roasted coffees.
This Organic & Fairtrade certified coffee comes from the Homa Cooperative in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. The region is known for its high-quality Arabica coffee, and its fertile volcanic soil and the shading forest create ideal conditions for producing coffee with a balanced and bright flavor.
The coffee cherries are hand-picked at their peak ripeness and delivered to washing stations, the largest of which is located in Shara village. The cherries are sorted in water, the pulp is mechanically removed, and the beans are fermented for 36–72 hours. After fermentation, the coffee is washed with clean water and sun-dried on raised beds for 7–15 days. Over 400 drying tables enable careful handling of batches and consistent quality.
